Race description

The Chojnik Karkonoski Running Festival is a mountain running event held in Sobieszów, in the heart of the Karkonosze Mountains. The festival offers a variety of distances, from a family educational run to a demanding ultramarathon of 102 km with over 5000 meters of elevation gain. The routes lead through scenic, rocky trails of the Karkonoski National Park, offering unique views and challenges for runners of different skill levels. The event has an integrative character and promotes running as a team sport, as well as environmental education.

Races start from 2:00 AM (Ultra Chojnik) to 10:30 AM (Educational Run). The participant limit for Ultra Chojnik is 100 people, and for Chojnik Marathon 325 people. Mandatory equipment for the ultra includes, among others, a headlamp, a roaming phone, an NRC foil, and a trail map. There are refreshment points and drop bags along the route. The Educational Run features educational stops and questions about nature. Mountain terrain, participant limit 325, mandatory equipment required, refreshment points on the route, time limit 9 hours.
